Terms of sale
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy a music download from tranquology.com, including a mix made in the mixer. Please read them before you buy. By completing a purchase you agree to them.
How payment works
Payments are handled by Stripe, who act as merchant of record for the transaction. This means Stripe processes the payment and is responsible for calculating, collecting and paying any VAT, GST or sales tax due in your country. Your bank statement will show a charge from Onelink rather than from Tranquology.
I remain the seller of the music itself, and I am responsible for the product, its delivery and these terms.
What you get
Each release is delivered as one MP3 file (Isochronica is three), at 320 kbps in full stereo, so binaural and bilateral tracks keep each ear's channel exactly as made. A collection gives you every release listed on its page. A mix bought from the mixer ("Download this mix") is one MP3 of one hour, made with the sounds and levels in your mix and made to loop seamlessly, at the same quality. The files have no copy protection and play on any normal music player, phone or computer.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include any tax due. Customers outside the UK may see prices converted into their local currency at checkout.
Delivery
Downloads are available immediately after payment. You will be taken to a download page and sent an email containing a link to it.
A mix is made for you after payment, which usually takes about five minutes. Your download page shows when it is ready, and the email with your link is sent then. If your order also has releases in it, the email waits until the mix is ready, but the releases can be downloaded from your download page straight away.
Download links work for 7 days (for a mix, from when it is ready) and allow up to five downloads per file. Long soundscapes are large files (a six-hour track is about 860 MB), so a Wi-Fi connection is best. If your link expires or stops working, email me and I will sort it out.
Your right to cancel, and how you give it up
Because this is digital content supplied immediately, UK law gives you a 14-day right to cancel, but you lose that right once the download begins, provided you have agreed to it in advance.
Before paying, you must tick a box confirming that you want your download straight away and that you understand this ends your 14-day right to cancel. Your confirmation is recorded with your order and repeated in your receipt email. If you do not tick that box, you cannot complete a purchase.
What you may do with the music
When you buy a release or a mix you get a personal licence to use it. You may:
- Listen to it yourself, on any of your own devices
- Play it at home, in your own therapy, yoga or meditation sessions, or while you work
You may not:
- Share, sell, re-upload or otherwise distribute the file
- Upload it to YouTube, a streaming service or any other site
- Use it in a video, app, advert, podcast or any other production
- Remix, edit, sample or make a new work from it
I keep all copyright and all other rights in the music. If you want to do something not covered here, ask me. The answer may well be yes.
Relaxation, not treatment
Tranquology music is made for relaxation, sleep and focus. It is not a medical treatment and does not replace advice from a doctor or therapist. Do not listen to binaural or isochronic tracks while driving or operating machinery.
If something is wrong
If a file is faulty, incomplete or not what was described, email hello (at) tranquology dot com and I will replace it or refund you. If a mix cannot be made, I will be told automatically and will either make it again or refund you. If a payment is refunded in full, the download links for that order stop working. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Complaints
Email hello (at) tranquology dot com. I will reply within five working days and do my best to put things right.
Who you are buying from
Tranquology is run by Angus Finlayson, a sole trader based in the UK. There is no company registration number because this is not a limited company. Contact: hello (at) tranquology dot com.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. I may update these terms, and the version in force is the one published when you buy.
