Thunderstorm in the Woods
A three-hour thunderstorm in the woods, from hard rain to dripping leaves, with the screen fading fully to black after 100 minutes.
About this soundscape
A storm passes over a camp in the woods as night falls. You hear hard rain, softer pitter patter and drips on the leaves as it eases, while the thunder arrives from the east, rumbles overhead and drifts away west. It isn't looped, and the screen fades fully to black after 100 minutes.
Because the storm changes as it goes, it feels like a real evening outdoors rather than a repeating clip. It's made for sleep and relaxation, and the fade to black means the picture won't keep you awake once you're in bed.
How to listen
Speakers are fineNatural sound needs no headphones. A speaker by the bed fills the room more gently.
Keep it lowJust loud enough to cover traffic, neighbours or a snoring partner.
Let it run all nightA steady sound that doesn't stop is easier to sleep through than one that ends and wakes you.
