Bilateral Drums for Sleep

Eight minutes of deep, rhythmic drums that move from ear to ear, for a short wind-down before sleep or a reset during the day.

About this soundscape

Deep bass drums beat in a steady rhythm, passing from your left ear to your right and back. There are no tones or melody, just the drums, and it lasts about eight minutes.

People use it to settle before bed, or as a quick break between tasks when their head feels busy. It is often played alongside EMDR therapy too. Because it is short, it is easy to repeat or loop if you want a longer session.

How to listen

Use headphonesThe sound moves from one ear to the other. On speakers you lose the left-right movement.
Start with short sessionsTen to twenty minutes is plenty at first. Stop if it doesn't feel right.
Alongside therapy, not insteadIf you're working with an EMDR therapist, ask them how they'd like you to use it.
